The dual-branded hotels are about 1/3rd of a mile from the beach in Sand City California. The project is part of a larger mixed-use development on a ten-acre site and will include both two buildings of hotel space and over 250 multi-family residential units in two buildings. The development is located just off Highway 1 connecting Santa Cruz and the San Francisco Bay Area to the north and Monterey and Carmel just to the south. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is less than five miles away. The hotel is also embedded in Sand City’s and neighboring Seaside’s primary commercial area including just adjacent to the Edgewater and Sand Dollar Shopping Centers and the Monterey Bay Area’s primary auto-mall, which includes BMW, Porsche, Mercedes and Jaguar dealerships among others.
The project will be built on a 4.7-acre site and feature 232 hotel rooms and surface parking. Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2020 and be completed in the Fall of 2021.
