The proposed dual branded hotels are about 1/3rd of a mile from the beach in Sand City California. It is part of a larger mixed-use development on a ten acre site to include the hotel in two buildings and over 250 multi-family residential units in two buildings. The development is located just off Highway 1 connecting Santa Cruz and the San Francisco Bay Area to the north and Monterey and Carmel just to the south. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is less than five miles away. The hotel is also embedded in Sand City’s and neighboring Seaside’s primary commercial area including just adjacent to the Edgewater and Sand Dollar Shopping Centers and the Monterey Bay Area’s primary auto-mall, which includes BMW, Porsche, Mercedes and Jaguar dealerships among others.
